Dear Parents/Carers and Students,

The Department of Education, in conjunction with the exam boards and exams regulator, OFQUAL have prepared a package of supportive measures to ensure that students taking exams in 2022 are not at a disadvantage due to the pandemic.
The first of these measures was released on 7th February 2022. The exam boards have contacted all schools and given them ‘advanced information’.
Exam boards have provided topic areas that will be covered in the questions with the highest mark allocations in the Summer 2022 papers. This will allow teachers to prepare revision lessons and materials tailored to these areas. In some subjects topics that are not explicitly given in the list may still be assessed in multiple-choice items, or questions with low mark allocations, or via synopticity. Students will continue to be taught all course content to ensure they are equipped to progress to the next stage of their studies or training. This advanced information will simply help teachers when designing revision lessons and materials.

For further details of examination advance information along with deadlines for coursework, NEA (Non-examined assessments) and practical exams for individual subjects please view the linked documents below.

As always if you have any questions regarding this information please don’t hesitate to contact us.
