About the Role
John Henry Newman Catholic College is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our high-performing team on a fixed-term basis starting September 2025.
Part of the Our Lady and All Saints Catholic Multi Academy Company (OLAAS MAC), the College is an oversubscribed 11–19 school based in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull, serving a diverse and vibrant community. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Support students in reaching their full academic potential through high-quality teaching and learning.
- Work collaboratively as part of a committed and supportive departmental team.
- Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development.
- Take an active role in the pastoral life of the College as a form tutor.
- Promote and support the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS and have a strong subject knowledge in Science.
- Be an effective and reflective classroom practitioner.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
