At the heart of the RE department is one of John Bosco’s fundamental principles: to ensure ‘every child is not only loved, but knows that they are loved’, ensuring that students are provided with every opportunity to succeed through Catholic character education and quality first teaching. The fundamental mission of the RE department at the John Henry Newman Catholic College is to guide our students along their spiritual journey through outstanding education, enabling students to discover their true vocation and fulfill their own ‘definite purpose’. The ethos of the RE department is founded upon inquiry based learning and in opportunities to be open minded and inquisitive by exploring answers to life’s big questions.
