A Level and Level 3 Vocational Results Day

Congratulations and well done  to Newman Sixth Year 13 students for making it through the past two years. These have been unprecedented times but today Year 13 students received their grades from this summer’s A Level exams  and Level 3 Vocational qualifications. These students were unable to sit GCSEs in 2020 and so these results  were the first external assessments that they have taken. These results are a tremendous achievement and we are so very proud of all of them.

Students achieved a 99% pass rate, with 48% of grades between A* to B and 84% between A* and C. Over the last five years, when exams have been sat, this is the highest pass rate achieved at Newman Sixth and reflects the investment the College has made in curriculum design and expert teaching.

The pastoral and UCAS support offered by Newman Sixth, which involves outside speakers, visits to careers shows, universities and employers, reflects the expertise of the Newman Sixth pastoral team. This has enabled  so many of this year’s Year 13 cohort to be able to accept their first choice offers.

Notable student success were achieved by;
