H.E 4 ME: YEAR 9 & 10 EVENT

For our first H.E. 4 Me event this year, we invite care experienced learners in Year 9 and 10 to University College Birmingham on Tuesday 31st October 2023. Learners will join us to gain insight into university, explaining how this can be an option for their future should they decide this is right for them. We will share information on student life, as well as how to budget and manage money while studying at university. Learners will have the chance to speak to current university students, while also taking part in a mixology/baking workshop.

The event will take place 9.30am – 2pm. Please note as the event takes place during half term, we encourage learners to be accompanied by carers if they are available.

There is no cost to this event and lunch will be provided for all attendees. Please let us know if you would require financial support for travel costs in order to attend this event.

EXPERIENCE THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
Do you know learners who are fascinated by fashion and the latest trends? Do they love the idea of making people look great and feel their best? Then we invite them to come and experience the beauty therapy, media make up and aesthetics departments at University College Birmingham to take part in practical, fun activities.

On Monday 23 October, we invite students in Year 11 and 12 to discover what college/sixth form and higher educational options there are including the degree level Aesthetics course where they can find out more about the growth in the nonsurgical aesthetic market.
