Dear Parents and Carers,

17 April Assembly

Head teacher message

Please find a number of messages below for your information:

Homelearning

Last week and in today’s video message we want to reassure parents of the excellent job you are all doing in supporting home learning. We acknowledge that students can’t work for long under these circumstances.

We are recommending that you encourage your child to study for three hours a day.

  • In Years 7 8 and 9 we want students to study using their knowledge organisers in a routine you set.
  • In Years 10 and 12, students will be given specific work and knowledge to learn but will be given lots of time to get this work completed.

Can we also stress the importance of reading at this time, both for learning new words and ideas as well as its ability to be calming.

It is also worth noting that the BBC will launching a new education TV service on Monday and parents might find this useful and helpful at this time.

Feeling Safe

feelingsafe@jhncc.org. Parents and students can use use this email if they want to contact the college to discuss any wellbeing concerns. Please also our wellbeing goggle classrooms that students should be looking at.

Survey

We are asking parents to complete the following survey to see what further help or support JHNCC can provide you at this time to support your child

Regards,

JHNCC
