An Amazing Open Evening – Again!

Last Thursday, JHNCC put on another outstanding display of what makes this school different. So many students supported our staff to ensure that all visitors came away fully understanding what sets this school apart from others and what this school can provide to those young people who become students here.

John Henry Newman Catholic College celebrates another year of remarkable results

A huge congratulations to the class of 2024 on your GCSE results. It was wonderful to celebrate with pupils and parents as they opened their GCSE envelopes.

Pupils at our college continue to perform well, pupils achieved a record percentage of grades 7 to 9 in English Language, with an increase in this grade bracket for Mathematics.

Our college also saw a jump in the percentage of pupils achieving 5 standard passes (grade 4s) including English and Maths.

Pupils were equally delighted with their results across our broad and balanced curriculum with a record percentage of grades at 7 to 9 in Geography, Sport, Design & Technology and Sociology.

There were notable performances from pupils who achieved the top grades, those include Giovanna H and Courtney S who achieved seven grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7.

Lennon-James C who achieved six grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7.

Leazyth D who achieved four grade 9s, three grade 8s and one grade 7.

A shout out to Krystian D, Cristiano D, Leah W and Esme P thirty grade 8s and 9s were achieved between them.

All staff at our college are proud of the pupils’ achievements, this has been down to their hard work and resilience over the past 5 years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our parents and carers for their support. Most Importantly a huge thank you to our staff who work tirelessly to ensure pupils at this college are ready for the next stage of their education in all aspects of school life.
